MooveGuru's data management platform puts marketers in front of moving consumers right when that consumer needs it. Hundreds of brands across the US rely on MooveGuru to deliver money-saving offers to moving consumers. You will work as part of a team to design and develop high-quality software solutions for web applications and mobile apps.

Challenge

Be responsible for maintaining, improving, and writing new features to the API that powers MooveGuru's apps, integrating with and migrating data from third-party providers and applications, and maintaining legacy systems.

What you’ll do as a Backend Developer

  • Creating new features, maintaining, and improving Node.js APIs
  • Building out an integrations platform that will transform and store data from a multitude of third-party data providers
  • Writing reusable components and libraries for future use
  • Maintaining legacy PHP systems
  • Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
  • Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system

In order to succeed in this position, you will need

Mandatory skills

  • Advanced/fluent English skills – Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid background in backend development, understanding modern patterns for how back-end code interacts with the front end systems.
  • You'll be working mainly with JavaScript (Node.JS, React, Typescript) and PHP/Laravel, so previous experience with these technologies is a plus
  • Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
  • Understanding accessibility and security compliance
  • Previous experience with user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
  • Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON web tokens, Oauth2, and SAML

Non-technical Skills

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
